Elephant is one of Iroko's favourite animals and she has greater preference over this clumsy cute animal when she saw Barney repeatedly sings the elephant song and performs the elephant dance.
Continuing from the previous *happy meals* of the current week, today's *happy lunch* remains the spirit of "simplisticism" ;p

Daddy bought these mini potatoes from Cameron Highlands last week.
Better finish them as soon as possible before the growth of green tuber/new sprouts @.@

No joke, it took less than 7min. to complete the arrangement / decor of the meal. The most demanding part was to peel the potatoe skin >@<
Look!!! The smallest potatoe is even smaller than a small size fish ball!!!

Banana (starter) + mashed potatoe + durian muffin +
+ hard boiled egg + steamed French beans + seaweed fish balls soup

昨天下午小妞午睡醒來後，媽咪陪她在露台看了一會兒天空，就開始忙著準備晚餐；晚餐後又忙著清洗碗碟，再給小妞洗澡，再去洗她的衣服（手洗，所以很慢），接著又曬衣服，收衣服，折衣服，跟著又燙衣服 @.@

雖然小妞一整晚也自得其樂地跟Barney載歌載舞，但也注意到媽咪沒有停下來，就很嘮叨地問媽咪：
“Mummy, what are you doing? Why are you so busy?” O_O

女兒，老娘的老公，妳的老爸都還沒投訴老婆沒時間陪他咧！！
（當然，他怎敢出聲，就不怕媽咪叫他做家務？！）\o/

October 12, 2011 The sky is blue-ing...

Just couldn't tell which part went wrong o.0
Why does the male one look like a rat instead of Kitty Cat??
The eyes? Let's replace them with oval shape eyes (see the last picture) 

Time flies, it's middle of the week again...
This is so far the most "'not-so-simple" (because it's "not-so--complicated‘ either ;p) *happy meal* ^-^

As the Kitty was drafted (weeks ago), the original plan was to convert it into a 3-D hard boiled egg Kitty with sweet pink dress. However, it seems the motion and sense didn't go parallel >,<
Well, make it as back up plan when mummy runs out of idea ^.^v

By the way, mummy didn't know that Hello Kitty already got married!!!
(a cute friend of mummy informed her about the news via FB few minutes ago)
Kitty husband is Dear Daniel, who resembles Kitty's features except the hair (he has some hair on top).
What a coincidence, Daniel and the male cat mummy made look alike ;)

看見媽咪為她的午餐照相，小妞也一起湊熱鬧，拿起相機鏡頭的蓋在那裡“喀嚓，喀嚓”的叫。還很“專業”地跟她的“模特兒”（那對吉蒂貓）說：

“Meow meow, let me take some photos for you!.... why you didn't smile?? You must smile, okay? Otherwise not nice you know?!!”

September 22, 2011 Humid hazy rainy cloudy...

Rat + Cat = Disaster??
Nothing is impossible ;)

They were supposed to be "black-matches-yellow" but the pan fried egg was not thin enough to perfectly wrap up the rice ball. As a result, here comes the contrast match ;p

媽咪碎碎念：
因為小妞， 媽咪終於有機會真正欣賞一部聞名已久的經典歌舞劇‘The Sound of Music’ 。
記得中學時期因為電視台重播，那電影又被翻熱了一輪。也忘了自己是否有看過，只知道對劇情一點印象也沒有 ;p

女兒的爸念了好久說要讓女兒看這出真人真事文藝片，那時媽咪還潑冷水說小妞怎麼會看上那種“古董”作品 =.=
結果買回來後，媽咪就被爹地的冰水由頭淋到腳 #.#
小妞竟然愛死了那影片！！！剛開始的頭幾天更是猖狂得從早看到晚；接下來幾天還好，只是不斷重播那幾幕她喜歡的歌舞片段。

跟著小妞看，媽咪終於明白它會成為經典的原因了。
在那個沒什麼科技可言，娛樂消遣寥寥無幾的年代，能有這般水準的內容+曲目，那影片確實很深得人心。更何況其中一首是很多人的快樂童謠，即使像媽咪這些70後沒看過影片的，都幾乎會哼上幾句：

DOE, a deer, a female deer

RAY, a drop of golden sun

ME, a name I call myself

FAR, a long long way to run

SEW, a needle pulling thread

LA, a note to follow sew

TEA, a drink with jam and bread

That will bring us back to DOE ooo...

看了不下20次，小妞都還是只記得DOE 和ME那兩句而已 >.<

September 16, 2011 Rainy Malaysia Day

一樣的飯，用筷子吃好像特別好吃 ^^

Making decision among a few choices is always a dilemma--when having herself to decide which design to be used for Iroko's *happy meal*!! Mummy found herself on the horn of that dilemma quite often /o\
It happened again today /O\
In fact she already had an idea for the lunch; yet, mummy willy-nilly spent 15min. washing, cleaning, chopping, cutting, shredding, peeling... but, after much wavering, she finally gave up the original plan @.@ and worked out something else ;p
Anyway, it's always better to have more ideas than no idea ^.*

Mummy came across a Cabbage Rice recipe share by a wonderful friend sometime ago.
Until yesterday those images of  Cabbage Rice from the original source flashed through again... 

*happy lunch* includes:
Strawberries + cabbage rice (with minced meat & carrot & basil leaves) +
amaranth  fish balls soup +  braised yam bean with assorted veggies & mushroom（燴沙葛）

那天媽咪向小妞投訴牙痛，要她過幾天陪媽咪到診所去見牙醫。小妞就先下手為強，告訴媽咪：
“Only mummy sees dentist, Koko no need……”

說著就往鏡子一看，然後自言自語：
“Koko's teeth broken，so black， not nice， like dinosaurs' teeth…… 可憐哦……But no worry，new white teeth will grow when Koko grow up！” ^.^v

那些小妞還蠻阿Q的嘛 ;-)

Mummy has a preference over ladybugs--whenever there is any suitable material available in the kitchen, this little lovely insect would certainly have the chance to show up... and the bugs always outshine the "key person" of the meal ;p

Stewed chicken & broccoli & cauliflower & carrot & black fungus & fresh mushrooms

The two mushroom-elephants are so ugly >.< Nothing like elephant but look more like PIG with long snout *(^j^)*

童言童語之拜神記：
家裡沒有供佛，也沒有奉拜祖先，但不知何故小妞就是特別誠心拜拜。每到一處看到有神尊，香爐，甚至僅僅神/佛像圖片，她都會停下腳步，從容地膜拜一番。
一定要為她記錄下來的是她的經典膜拜口號：

“保佑Koko平安，快高長大，嗯嗯沒有cry，shower沒有cry， wake up沒有cry！”，之後還要附上一句 “OKAY？！？！” >.<

The idea of *Sunny-Ville* was inspired by a lovely cake (decorated with sugar icing animals) baked by a lovely mother for her lovely daughter's 2nd birthday this morning.
The "brain power" has been shut off before the Raya holiday /o\ ... yet, it's still in "hibernate mode" ;p
mmm... what's next for tomorrow...??? '^'

Oranges (starter) + steamed fresh mushrooms +
stir fried spinach + seaweed fish-balls soup + candy floss （棉花糖）

有天，小妞和她爸邊玩邊聊天，聊著聊著，爹地問小妞她長大後，爹地就會變老了，那時小妞會不會牽爹地過馬路，會不會照顧爹地。小妞想想就回答;
“Yes, Koko will take care of daddy. Feed daddy Koko's nen nen！” >.<

爹地，你應該很感動吧？！;p

【Celebrity Doraemon 。多啦a夢，“紅”不讓！(^^)v】

*happy dinner* includes:
Seaweed egg soup with assorted fish-/crab-balls + deep fried fish

This is the second Doraemon in the {ma-masak} collection (the first one was made by hard-boiled egg).
All the while, mummy believed that BLUE is the only trademark colour for Doraemon, until she saw a limited edition model of it at a toy store. Since mummy has yet to get fresh butterly-pea-flowers, this red version of Doraemon is still not a bad idea for {ma-masak} ;)

So far, the natural vivid red of tomatoe is considered the best choice for making something in red. The third batch of Angry Birds in {ma-masak} were made out of cherry tomatoes. Same material and method were used to prepare this limited ed. Doraemon. It's rather a simple way to prepare this. Just make a curve-cut--> removal of the filling of tomatoe--> insert rice to fill up the hole. The only challenge is that the rice must be somewhat moist and inserting work needs to be done while the rice is still hot (easier to mould the shape). Lastly, cut those features of Doraemon lor... sounds simple, ain't?

小妞的那四顆門牙是媽咪和她老爸最大的遺憾。
雖說是乳牙，但媽咪一直都擔心會不會有後遺症--牙齦有沒有因此受損了，恆牙會不會因此受影響，小妞說話發音會不會出現偏差，上了幼兒園後會不會被其他小孩子（甚至大人）嘲笑而產生自卑感。。。等等意想不到的問題 ;(
媽咪可能是多慮了，但無可否認的事實是，斷掉門牙確確實實是對小妞的咀嚼能力造成了很大的影響。就連硬度普通的瑪麗餅，她也無法用門牙咬， 更別說是咬蔬菜，肉類了 ;...(

今天下午，媽咪和小妞在吃著玉米餅（Nachos）時，她就跟媽咪要了一杯MILO，好讓她沾玉米餅。（很怪的搭配hor ;p）
看著她吃得津津有味的模樣，媽咪故意問她好吃嗎。結果，小妞出其不意的回答，讓媽咪的心裡頓時抽痛了一陣子。。。 (T_T)

“Koko dip the 餅餅in milo, then 餅餅become soft. Koko can eat now!”

【ELF 。凡間精靈】

July 11, 2011 Reasonable hot; Intolerable hazy

是天使，亦是魔鬼！
孩子總叫父母又哭又笑 >,<

Fairy doesn't really mean much/special to Iroko at her age.
Rather, she is thrilled to see and play with gorgor jiejie didi meimei (other kids).
That doesn't mean she wants sibling--she told mummy she wants playmates didi or meimei BUT not from mummy's tummy!

*happy lunch* includes:
Pear + mashed potatoe, pumpkin & carrot + steamed fishballs + watercress soup

之前有提到小妞“對付”+安撫媽咪的絕招是她的那『五字真言』---媽咪，笑哈哈 ;D
這兩天她又給自己的招數注入甚是有點威脅媽咪乖乖就範的元素！！一察覺媽咪對她的言行舉止有異樣/媽咪開始不耐煩時，小妞就馬上把自己的臉，往媽咪的臉上貼，再叫媽咪：“Mummy must be good girl, 笑哈哈huh!” @.@

如果形勢危急，她乾脆就用嘴堵著媽咪的唇，再加上楚楚可憐的眼神和聲音哀求媽咪：“媽咪，笑哈哈，不要罵罵。”

這麼一來，誰還忍得下心拒絕她的要求？

【Elmos & Friend 。三人行】

May 23, 2011 Rainy-sunny-day

This cute cartoon character, Elmo, is simply too easy to be done and it's just too good for lazy-Monday-mood @,@

To be honest, both Iroko and mummy are not familiar with Elmo ;p But because it's cute with very simple sharp features ^.^ plus, the name is quite easy to Iroko, mummy added it to {ma-masak}



*happy lunch* includes:
Banana (starter) + boiled fishballs +
stir fry cabbage with sausage, carrot and Swiss brown mushroom

 Actually the "friend" (banana) was not in the scene. When peeling the banana, mummy naughtily made "her" the 2 eyes and a "hat" (the remaining nori sheet, which was used for Elmos' eyes). And here you are Elmos' friend!

Soup of the day:
Shark Fin Melon soup with pork ribs & wolfberries & red dates

This is the first time  mummy cooked shark fin melon. The flesh truly resembles the real shark's fins even the texture too! As expected, the natural sweetness gives a very refreshing taste to the soup. Yum!

前天小妞坐在potty等“感覺”來時，無所事事地就在那裡“介紹”媽咪家裡的房間，“This is daddy's room, and this one got ladybug bed is Koko's room!” 媽咪等了幾秒見她沒接下去，就蠱惑地問她，“Then where is mummy's room?” 那小妞頓時愣了一下，尷尬地對着媽咪傻笑 >,<

當媽咪向女兒的爸說起這事時，在一旁的小妞馬上搭腔，想要“補鍋”，“oh, mummy's room is Koko's room. Koko's room is mummy's room!!”

Mummy is somewhat lazy today...

Doesn't feel like working too hard...

Doesn't feel like using her brain...

So she simply dug this this & that..

This (flower cookie cutter) is to cut the noses;
This (mushroom cookie cutter) is to cut the ears;
This (disposable bamboo chopstick) is to hold the "balls"; and

That (scissors) is to cut the eyes!! 

... to prepare for the little one a lazy *oink oink*

... a sluggish duckling

... and an idle bear!

Mummy is rather workshy today
