Why does the male one look like a rat instead of Kitty Cat??
The eyes? Let's replace them with oval shape eyes (see the last picture) 

Time flies, it's middle of the week again...
This is so far the most "'not-so-simple" (because it's "not-so--complicated‘ either ;p) *happy meal* ^-^

As the Kitty was drafted (weeks ago), the original plan was to convert it into a 3-D hard boiled egg Kitty with sweet pink dress. However, it seems the motion and sense didn't go parallel >,<
Well, make it as back up plan when mummy runs out of idea ^.^v

By the way, mummy didn't know that Hello Kitty already got married!!!
(a cute friend of mummy informed her about the news via FB few minutes ago)
Kitty husband is Dear Daniel, who resembles Kitty's features except the hair (he has some hair on top).
What a coincidence, Daniel and the male cat mummy made look alike ;)

*happy lunch* includes:
Dried cranberries (starter) + fish balls + water cress soup
馬麻豆腐飯 （mama tofu rice--tofu & carrot & amaranth & minced chicken in vegetarian oyster sauce）

看見媽咪為她的午餐照相，小妞也一起湊熱鬧，拿起相機鏡頭的蓋在那裡“喀嚓，喀嚓”的叫。還很“專業”地跟她的“模特兒”（那對吉蒂貓）說：

“Meow meow, let me take some photos for you!.... why you didn't smile?? You must smile, okay? Otherwise not nice you know?!!”

September 16, 2011 Rainy Malaysia Day

一樣的飯，用筷子吃好像特別好吃 ^^

Making decision among a few choices is always a dilemma--when having herself to decide which design to be used for Iroko's *happy meal*!! Mummy found herself on the horn of that dilemma quite often /o\
It happened again today /O\
In fact she already had an idea for the lunch; yet, mummy willy-nilly spent 15min. washing, cleaning, chopping, cutting, shredding, peeling... but, after much wavering, she finally gave up the original plan @.@ and worked out something else ;p
Anyway, it's always better to have more ideas than no idea ^.*

Mummy came across a Cabbage Rice recipe share by a wonderful friend sometime ago.
Until yesterday those images of  Cabbage Rice from the original source flashed through again... 

*happy lunch* includes:
Strawberries + cabbage rice (with minced meat & carrot & basil leaves) +
amaranth  fish balls soup +  braised yam bean with assorted veggies & mushroom（燴沙葛）

那天媽咪向小妞投訴牙痛，要她過幾天陪媽咪到診所去見牙醫。小妞就先下手為強，告訴媽咪：
“Only mummy sees dentist, Koko no need……”

說著就往鏡子一看，然後自言自語：
“Koko's teeth broken，so black， not nice， like dinosaurs' teeth…… 可憐哦……But no worry，new white teeth will grow when Koko grow up！” ^.^v

那些小妞還蠻阿Q的嘛 ;-)

Hard boiled egg is always a fabulous "wizard wand" in {ma-masak} series. At once, it used to be so high profile...

In order to explore more fun and more potential wizard wands, it has been "stepping down" for quite some times ;p

Mummy missed it so much especially during that one whole month when Iroko was with chickenpox >.< Finally here comes the powerful magical hard-boiled mummy-&-baby penguins ^^

Pasta with white sauce + hard boiled egg + amaranth soup

前陣子婆婆為了要到同善醫院做推拿治療，就到家裡小住了一段日子。那段時間小妞每天一睡醒就跟著媽咪和婆婆到醫院去。座落在市中心的同善醫院，由於人多地少，停車場已經容不下來來往往的車子了。所以在那裡泊車位總是跟運氣掛上等號 @.@
幾天下來，每當車子駛到醫院大門入口，小妞劈頭第一句話就是：
“Got good luck today？”/ “Are we lucky today？”
坦白說，聽她那麼一說，找車位總是希望滿滿，也找得特別開心，特別積極 ^^

現在，不論去到哪個停車場，小妞一定習慣性地問/說：
“Are we lucky？”
“Lucky lucky！！”

看到有空位但前面又有車子時就會說：
“Helloooo, please don't park, pleeeease！” @.@

找了很久還是好運不到時，她就很無賴地說：
“Aunty/uncle，it's time to go home！It's Koko's turn to go shopping！”

兜了很久還是找不到，她就索性野蠻起來隨手一指說：
“Mummy, never mind lar. Just park here / there！” @.@

*happy lunch* includes:
Fruits salad (starter) + amaranth congee

Just wonder why are "talking-parrot", "talking-cat", "talking-dog", "talking-hippo", "talking-ladybuug", etc. so popular amongst kids (or even adults??). Iroko too, loves talking to those creatures (or listening to her own speech repeated by them??) >,< This red bird is an additional feature in Talking-Tom cat 2--one of her favourite i-app. )^.^(

小妞愛死了她的gymnastics class，即使只是看見她的制服，也會雀躍萬分！那天換上制服準備出去時，小妞告訴媽咪：

“Mummy good girl, iron this shirt for Koko. When Koko grown up can iron for mummy...”

媽咪就指著她身上的T-shirt，故意問小妞：“Can mummy share Koko's shirt?”

“... emm... or other shirt？”

“But mummy loves this one. Can mummy borrow for a while?” 媽咪就是想探視小妞的反應 ;p

“But mummy is too big!! Only Koko can fit!”

媽咪，妳服輸了吧？！！

【Tofu-Bugs 。又見甲蟲滿天下】

July 27, 2011 Cloudy windy day

媽咪最怕要煎炸東西，除了魚，煎豆腐是最讓媽咪聞之喪膽的事情了。
但今天媽咪終於找到可以不必被熱滾滾的油噴到傷痕累累的煎豆腐方法了，嘢！！

The tofu-bugs project is totally out of planning (mummy had terrible headache the whole morning @.@).
Nevertheless, she was so happy when she found the way to fry tofu "beautifully" without burning herself and without using much cooking oil. The secret is to use non-stick frying pan!! (all the while mummy used wok for deep frying, never thought of using frying pan)
Suddenly, she was inspired by those tofu...
suddenly, she forgot about her pain...
suddenly, Iroko went to kitchen with her newly bought lady-bug tang-lung...
and here it is, the tofu-bugs :)

*happy lunch* includes:
Strawberries & grapes + Green tea soba noodles +
boiled baby French beans + fried tofu with minced meat & amaranth + English gourd soup

每當媽咪犯頭疼時，小妞總會很貼心地去拿風油幫媽咪塗在太陽穴兩側再加以按摩，又會很關心地問媽咪有沒有服藥。還不時叮嚀媽咪要good girl, 笑哈哈，才不會頭疼。。。
記得有次小妞看見媽咪塗風油，就自言自語地說：

“Mummy headache, because mummy's head already spoilt...”

March 30, 2011 Pleasant sunny day

"Rasa sayang hey

rasa sayang hey..."

This "traditional" Malay song is Iroko's favourite that daddy must play whenever she saw guitar.

When she was young (before she could speak understandable language) she always asked for it, "Mummy sing sa-sayang." Mummy did not get it until she heard the little one sang along with her daddy, who was entertaining her with guitar months later >,<

Iroko was so excited to play her new guitar and piano ;D
It is so far the most challenging work!!

She loves Saturdays because she can see, feel, touch, and play on a real piano before and after her ballet class. So, mummy decided to make her a guitar and a piano as her *happy lunch*.

The lunch included strawberries (appetizer)
+ stir fried green amaranth & carrot, of course served with white rice
+ radish soup

童言童語：Iroko is now at the stage of being autonomy, learning to be independent. She always offers her hands to press buttons at lift lobbies/inside lifts. Days ago, she forgot that she needs to be carried in order to help mummy to press the button. There and then, she told mummy, "oo ouu, koko cannot reach because koko not tall enough!"
It's okay, darling ;) You'll grow up as tall as (but better taller than) mummy soon!

【Mama's Private Recipe 。媽媽的私房菜】

似乎每个媽媽都有自家的獨門食譜，那些都是她的孩子們在外面無法找到的味道，都是媽媽在孩子的記憶力所留下的味道！
那天在跟好友媽媽萨的聚会又學到了新菜式--好友媽媽的私房菜，【莧菜麵湯】 v(*u*)v
莧菜的清甜+蝦米的鮮味都滲透在湯汁裡，再加上用老抽，麻油和胡椒粉醃製的肉碎，這麼簡單的一碗熱湯麵就可以讓人感到很滿足！

其實每一道媽媽費盡心思為孩子準備的食物都一直在提醒孩子們“知足常樂”這個聽起來很容易，但要真正做到卻很難的“人生大事”。只要用心品嚐，就能嚐到媽媽的用心良苦。瞧，一碗莧菜麵湯，不就足以讓人滿足了嗎？其實幸福真的可以很簡單。。。
