【Little King of the House 。小霸王】

May 31, 2012 汗流浃背的大热天！！！

这几天妈咪一直忙着part time的工作，冷落了早已被小妞吞下肚子的“小霸王”，更不用说要上来更新部落格 ;p
终于暂时忙完一部分，今天再把前几天弄好的快乐餐搬出来时，竟然忘了原本已构思好的文字

算了。。。就直接上菜（是隔了好几夜的菜！）

happy lunch includes:
Cheddar cheese + stir fried iceberg lettuce + pan fried tomato with egg + seaweed congee 
很多孩子都是这样吧？
在家是狮子，出外像老鼠；在家做霸王，出外就有点窝囊 >.<
小妞就是这个样子 >.<

前天带小妞去韵律操，由停车场走向中心时，妈咪跟小妞换了换位子，让她走在里面，妈咪就牵着她走在马路边。
妈咪告诉她，妈咪要保护她，即使有车辆不小心撞过来，妈咪也能先帮她挡着。原本蹦蹦跳跳的小妞听到妈咪那么一说，顿时停了下来，马上苦着脸问妈咪：“Then,what will happen?...No! I don't want mummy hit by car. I will lose my mummy...”

妈咪还来不及反应，就听到小妞在那里继续喃喃自语：“Then I have to BUY another mummy!... otherwise I have no more mummy!”

当下，妈咪真的感动死了，但又觉得很好笑 ; D

当晚，妈咪就把这可爱的笑话告诉女儿的爸，爹地就趁机讽刺小妞，叫小妞买一个新的妈咪，那么她就不用跟爹地争原来的妈咪了！晚上睡觉时，爹地有妈咪，Koko也有新买的妈咪陪着睡了！小妞也不逊地回爹地：“I want this mummy, daddy sleeps with NEW MUMMY!!!”

Just wonder why are "talking-parrot", "talking-cat", "talking-dog", "talking-hippo", "talking-ladybuug", etc. so popular amongst kids (or even adults??). Iroko too, loves talking to those creatures (or listening to her own speech repeated by them??) >,< This red bird is an additional feature in Talking-Tom cat 2--one of her favourite i-app. )^.^(

小妞愛死了她的gymnastics class，即使只是看見她的制服，也會雀躍萬分！那天換上制服準備出去時，小妞告訴媽咪：

“Mummy good girl, iron this shirt for Koko. When Koko grown up can iron for mummy...”

媽咪就指著她身上的T-shirt，故意問小妞：“Can mummy share Koko's shirt?”

“... emm... or other shirt？”

“But mummy loves this one. Can mummy borrow for a while?” 媽咪就是想探視小妞的反應 ;p

“But mummy is too big!! Only Koko can fit!”

媽咪，妳服輸了吧？！！

July 13, 2011 Again, it's hazy and cloudy but stuffy >,<

The first hot food that mummy learned and mastered is poached egg---荷包蛋！
That is the simplest yet most delicious cooking to commit to whenever she feels lazy & sluggish ;p
Especially now!! Even if mummy doesn't have appetite to eat, she still needs to cook for the little one >,<

*happy lunch* includes:
Congee with poached egg + stir-fry French beans

曾經，在小妞一歲左右，媽咪常常為了小妞喝水不多而傷腦筋，甚至曾想過要孤掷一注，用『利賓娜』(Ribena, blackcurrant drink) 來誘惑她，也還好，她並沒有上鉤 (=.=)

現在情況總算大大改善了，每天都有及格的喝水量--唯一的問題就是太被動了，如果不是媽咪把水送到她嘴裡，每次自己喝水時，她就只是把口唇沾濕而已，真的是“蜻蜓點水”@ . @
但慶幸的是，她“來水不拒”，媽咪餵多少，她就喝多少。
也幸好她是極之愛喝湯，媽咪隔一天沒煮湯，她就會想念，繼而要求媽咪煮。

也忘了是什麼時候媽咪哄她喝水時告訴她，要喝很多水她才會有精力像Hi-5裡的姐姐/哥哥一樣，可以做某些動作。原來小妞把這一切都聽進去了。現在只要她自己覺得稍有“成就”---可以做到某些事，即使是一些雞毛皮蒜如做到某舞蹈姿勢 / 轉兩圈呼啦圈之類的小事，她都不忘說：
“Because Koko drink a lot of water!!” 把一切都歸功於‘喝水’這等“大事”！！

July 06, 2011 Another perfect day for drying clothes

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!!
Indeed, nothing comes easily without hard work.
Mummy almost lost all her "magic" after such a long break.
Couldn't even get a nice title for this piece of work ;-(

就連照片也得用盡了整個日落來拍。總是捉不到最滿意的角度。。。
真的有點江郎才盡的感覺。。。沮喪也 >,<

Mummy failed the original plan--to make a birdie out of a hard-boiled egg. Ended up, the hedgehog popped up when mummy saw Iroko playing with those toothpicks...

*happy dinner* includes:
Orange + veggie congee (broccoli + hard-boiled egg + sweetcorn)

前陣子小妞不知怎麼喜歡時不時就拔起自己的頭髮來。竟然也不覺得疼。媽咪就嚇唬她，再那樣子繼續拔頭髮，會變光頭，就不能再束起“芭蕾舞頭”（髮髻）。

那天，媽咪看見小妞的髮尾有些打結了，就著手幫她打理。小妞馬上叫著：“Mummy, please don't pull! Otherwise Koko BOTAK, CANNOT GO DANCING!" @.@

May 18, 2011 Day with strong strong wind + bright bright Sun + warm warm weather

This is the third dinosaurs in {ma-masak} collection. The first was made from broccoli stalk while the second was a sausage dino; and today Iroko has a cucumber dinosaur ;D

每當察覺到媽咪說話的語氣變得正經800時；
每當自知做了一些不應該做/會遭受責備或教訓的事時；

聽到那一句話的當下，即使真的要開始爆發的情緒，即使多累，媽咪也會由心而發，開心大大聲地笑哈哈 ^U^ （這不就是化解了一場即將爆發的火山，也救了媽咪千千萬萬個細胞）

May 03, 2011 Another sunny + thunder storm day

Not lazy, but just wanted to make something simple and without much tediousness at certain time ;p
Today, is another hassle-free day that mummy wishes to have ;-D

Only need a pair of scissors and a fruit shape (not sure what fruit is that) cookies cutter, the *“fishy” happy lunch* was easily accomplished!

一天到晚游泳的魚啊 魚 不停游
一天到晚想你的人啊 愛 不停休
從來不想回頭 不問天長地久
因為我的愛 覆水難收

oh ya, the "fishy" lunch includes:
chicken congee with mushroom, black fungus, spring onion & of course carrot!
Mummy wondered if Iroko could take the spicy taste of spring onion while adding it to the congee (in fact it's no longer spicy but the taste becomes indescribably odd & strong after being cooked. Yet, Iroko accepted it, phewwww ;p

那天在二姨家的露台，奶舅叮嚀在那兒蹦蹦跳跳的小妞要小心，那小妞就很多嘴地幫她的奶舅接話，“If koko falls down, then koko bleeding, dies oo” >,<

April 18, 2011 Dry clothes with the Sun smell ;)

Mummy saw this cute artwork in a magazine the other day. It's such an attractive stuff, ain't!! Mummy hardly adopts others' ideas, but this one is toooooo cute that must not be excluded in {ma-masak} collection!

The *happy lunch* includes:
Stir fried tomatoe egg + seaweed congee with scallop

Although the whole picture looks somewhat awful? horrible?? mummy took it as a chance to "educate the little one--she likes to climb up to dining table and jump to the kitchen work station (approx. 1 foot) >,< 

Mummy,"Baby, if you jump from the table you might fall, then break your head, bleed and even die like these eggs! So, don't jump, okay?"
Iroko,"Then ooo, ooo ooo cry!"

週末的上午送女兒去跳舞的路途上，媽咪告訴小妞媽咪不可以跟她一起進去舞蹈室，因為koko長大了，不需要媽咪陪，可以自己跟其他小朋友一起玩，練舞了。。。

當老師牽著她的手進去舞蹈室時，小妞開始扁著嘴，很勉強地擠出笑容回頭告訴媽咪，“NO WORRY, MUMMY STAYS OUTSIDE。”還沒來得及回神的媽咪，就听到小妞放聲哭了起來“mummy, mummy ar, 來 sayang！”>,<

結果那天，媽咪還是得陪她上課。。。

March 23, 2011 Windy day

It has been almost one whole week mummy did not stock up on food.
Yet, it is still not a problem to prepare a simple lunch for Iroko;
However, it is a problem to process the idea mummy had in mind;
Thus, the back up plan comes into picture!

The simple lunch includes: Congee with seaweed, seabass, cabbage and baby corn. Oh ya, not forget too, the KEY "PERSONS"--orange flower and the butterfly! Plus, some grapes as the appetizer of the day!

PS: This blog is meant for Iroko, there should be something more meaningful other than her food! Mummy decided to include a footnote, which records new/old quote from Iroko that surprises mummy, on each post. That may not be a great achievement, but it's trully something refreshes the mummy's day! Undoubtedly, nothing more precious and grateful for being able to grow together with own child each day!

Iroko requested to use the new baby shampoo mummy bought the other day. Since she likes it so much mummy let her tests. She told mummy, "這個好料喔！" while mummy washing her hair. Then, she continued, "Mummy MELL (smell, she has problem to pronouce words begin with an S) it. 嗅嗅看，香香喔！"

March 17, 2011 Cloudy

Doraemon is another classical character of whom mummy always wishes Iroko to be friend with (but mummy never even watched/read a complete Doraemon story in her life). This is the day!

Pardon mummy, all Doraemon fans ;( The Doraemon looks a bit ugly... >,<

Unfortunately, the "dingdang" (mummy prefers calling the nick name ;p) mummy made for Iroko didn't really look alike the real Doraemon ;s

Getting cooking material with natural blue colour is the most "headache" issue! Mummy thinks this is the main reason the "dingdang" work failed ;(

Anyway, look-alike or not, it's still Iroko's *happy lunch* ;D

The dingdang lunch includes: seabass congee + fried egg & tomatoe & prawns + boiled broccoli

Mummy is somewhat lazy today...

Doesn't feel like working too hard...

Doesn't feel like using her brain...

So she simply dug this this & that..

This (flower cookie cutter) is to cut the noses;
This (mushroom cookie cutter) is to cut the ears;
This (disposable bamboo chopstick) is to hold the "balls"; and

That (scissors) is to cut the eyes!! 

... to prepare for the little one a lazy *oink oink*

... a sluggish duckling

... and an idle bear!

Mummy is rather workshy today

Jan. 14, 2011 Rainy morning Sunny noon Cloudy evening 

Mummy found the piggie illustrated in Iroko's pocket book very cute, therefore, she decided to "invite" two piggies on the farm to play with Iroko this afternoon!

It has been quite some time mummy didn't serve Iroko with sausage. She was so excited when seeing daddy having sausages as his supper last night. She then requested mummy to get her sausage for her lunch. So, here you are babe *@*

As mummy promised Natalie 姑姑 there will be cake waiting for her as she arrived tonight. So mummy tried out a new recipe, which she intended to experiment since long time ago. It's the show time ;)

Freshly out from oven!! Need to be chilled for at least 2 hours then!

What do you think they are? Yes, cheesecake! Pumpkin cheesecake. Baked-->Chilled PUMPKIN cheesecake!

Mummy"engraved" 2 mini pumpkins to decorate the cake (for photoshooting purpose, hehe...), daa lang...

"Carrot Pumpkins"

Just a few cuts with simple tools that everyone has at home--knife and scissors (just to cut the stem, which originally attached to an apple ;p).

Before the cheesecake is chilled, the texture was like pudding, and it didn't really taste good >,< Mummy was quite worried that she would disappoint Nat 姑姑. However, the taste magically changed to a different one after being chilled for 7 hours. At least 二姨, Iroko and mummy like it ;D

The only shortcoming is that the base is not solid enough. This is because mummy couldn't press too hard as she is using paper cups to hold the cakes. In general, the mission is accomplished!!

Jan. 12, 2011 Sunny Windy Cloudy day

The best plan is never have a plan! Well, this is quite true most of the time especially in the {ma-masak} kitchen. Many *happy meals* just came into picture in adhoc. Just like the "Carrot Rabbit" lunch of the day ! Initially, mummy "planned" to do something else but it ended up with a rabbit! OKAY lar (Iroko's habit of speaking nowadays), since the Rabbit year is just around the corner, just leave it ;D

Oh yes, it's daddy's year! (opps... sorry daddy, "unintentionally" disclosing your age, ;-p)

So this is Iroko's lunch of the day--congee (or porridge?) with corn and carrot with soy floss on top.

Without looking at the ears, the rabbit looks like a rat from this angle >,< Agree?

Mummy felt so excited to use glass noodle again (as the whiskers) when she got a nice outcome from the work yesterday--whale spouting water. As usual, the eyes are made of black sesame seeds (although the rabbit eyes are supposed in RED, it wouldn't look nice for a carrot rabbit to have red eyes)

mmm, this angle makes the creature looks better like a RABBIT!!

Is just as simple as this! yayyy, take a break, and let's continue tomorrow!

【Bottlenecked!! 。遇到瓶頸了;s】

The *happy meals* kitchen has been "suspended" since Iroko was infected Hand Foot Mouth Disease.
Right after the little one recovered, we were back to hometown for a week to visit 奶奶，婆婆 (grandma), 爺爺，公公(grandpa), 叔叔。。。 ; to meet mummy's new born god-daughter; to learn making ang ku kuih （紅龜糕）; to celebrate 小姨's birthday...

As usual, mummy never had chance to cook in Kedah because being well-pampered by 婆婆and奶奶 (^-^)v ! Those ideas (for making *happy meals*) also gone with time. The first day back at home, mummy just could not move on to resume the making of *happy meal*. Moreover, nothing left in the fridge except a piece of sweet corn. emmm.. what to cook? Well, weather is bad lately. Let's have something light--vegetarian style congee!

Simply follow her own sense, mummy worked this out:

Well, mummy called it【Corn monster】!

Now, mummy is truly convinced that--practice makes perfect!! Creativity is not born but is nurtured ;)

Mummy loves EGGs, regardless how they are cooked--boiled, stir fried, deep fried, steamed... But, till current, Iroko seems like loving boiled one only.

Whenever running out of idea (what to cook), mashed potato is the only food pops up in the *happy meal* list;
Whenever mummy noticed Iroko getting bored with rice/congee, mashed potato is always top-listed;
Whenever Iroko has difficulty in doing her "big business", mashed potato is the best remedy!

【雞蛋變形餐（1）。 The EGG Meals】

Last day in Nov. 2010 Day with furious whirlwind

When mummy decided to start blogging, she thought that  it wouldn't be too difficult for the blog to "catch up" Iroko's daily *happy meal*. But now, mummy is kinda regretful to have such a thought! It's not easy to write more than 2 posts a day. Unlike mere posting photos with brief description onto Facebook, blogging (to mummy) requires more hardwork. Mummy wished to have all posts that contain some sort of feelings, "philosophy", her personal reviews... At this moment, mummy feels that is demanding, challenging, and tiring...

Well, in order to keep the blog well-maintained and always up-to-date (mummy has been posting back dated *happy meals*) mummy has made up her mind to summarize the past by categorizing them under different themes.

Supposingly, the chick should appear as a whole round yolk. Unfortunately, the egg was overcooked until the yolk became so so dry & fragile, and it broke into 2 when the white was removed ;s
